Professor Mehta was awarded the Research Scholar Grant for her work on Ovarian Cancer Tumoroids to Study Heterogeneity and Chemoresistance.This project involves several members of the lab and collaborations within the University of Michigan to develop an in vitro model to better understand how heterogeneity in ovarian cancer tumors leads to chemoresistance and how best to treat aggressive cancers.
